This site contains transcriptions of parish registers, historical books, directories and gazetteers that I own. All the transcriptions have been made from the original books.
Good hunting!

Thanks for the offer. The photos would have to be uploaded to flickr for them to have to be added to this site. If you are happy to have your photos added to flickr with your copyright etc. then that would be lovely. Alternativley, the photos could be added to the wiki which either you can do or I can do it for you. If you contact me through the Contact link on the menu we can sort it out.
Just a quick question, you have baptisms in Shrewbury non-comformist chapels up to 1812. I'm looking for Jane Benyon in 1813, where did you get the information??
Hi John, thanks for the kind comments about the site. The baptisms for the Shrewsbury non-conformist chapels have been transcribed from an old book I managed to buy sometime back. Unfortunately, in general, the entries only go up to 1812.
Thank you for all the hard work to put the site together. Just found it and have bookmarked it to come back to later. Even if I don't find mention of my Cotswold ancestors it's lovely to see the places they were baptised, married and buried - and the places they walked and worked.
Hi Ellen, thanks for the thanks :) If you let me know where your ancestors were from in the Cotswolds I will have a dig around in my books and see what I can find for you ... big slap wrist Sally ... must do better :P :)
I would just like to say what a fantastic site this is every time I come on it I spend hours reading the interesting articles, thank you for spending the time to research and give us all this free information its very much appreciated.
Many thanks for your kind comments and I am glad you enjoy the site so much. There is still a lot more to be added from the books I already have and, as I am a sucker for an old leather book I am sure the project will be ongoing for a long time and I intend it to be always free, after all it is all our history and I don't like the idea that we have to pay to access our ancestors past.
Many thanks again, such comments make it all worthwhile.
I viewed you web site with difficulty as the print is very small and faint. I find this with many sites. Is there something I can do to make it easier for me to read? There looks to be a lot of interesting and informative stuff on the site.
yes there are things you can do. The first thing to try is to set your internet browser to show larger text. This is often done by choosing View from the browser toolbar and then choosing the setting for bigger test. I can't be more specific as you don't say what browser you are using.
If you want more help post a meassage in the message boards and I will try and help.
