In a vault beneath this chancel are buried Thomas Sarsons of Birchensa??, died January 2 1831 aged 75 years for 36 years he filled the office of churchwarden of this parish, exemplary in the discharge of its important duties psalm CXII.5. Mary his wife died November 5 1828 aged 65 years. William Thomas son of the above Thomas & Mary Sarsons died March 4 1849 aged 49 years. Mary daughter of the above Thomas & Mary Sarsons died September 25 1856 aged 55 years.
