The church was built in the mid 19th century on the site of a much older medieval church. It was built by a local landowning family to serve the local rural community, and is still owned by them. However it stands in a remote location and the area is sparsely populated. Nowdays there are no longer enough local churchgoers to make it viable to keep it open, so the church has remained unused for several years. It is presently up for auction.

Abandoned Church

St.Margarets - built in 1858 on the site of an earlier medieval church. It is situated in a remote location and has apparently been disused for at least 10 years.
