TAVERHAM (St. Edmund), a parish, in the union of St. Faith, hundred of Taverham, E. division of Norfolk, 5 ¾ miles (N. W.) from Norwich; containing 211 inhabitants. This parish, which is situated on the road from Norwich to Fakenham, comprises 2021a. 2r. 17p. ; the scenery is exceedingly picturesque, and enlivened by the passage of the river Wensum.
