TASBURGH (St. Mary), a parish, in the union and hundred of Depwade, E. division of Norfolk, 2 miles (N.) from Long Stratton; containing 527 inhabitants. The parish is situated on the London and Norwich road, by way of Bury and Ipswich, and comprises by admeasurement 881 acres, of which 637 are arable, and the remainder meadow and gardens; the surface is in some parts boldly undulated, and very fine views are obtained from the churchyard and its vicinity of an extensive range of beautifully-varied scenery.
