If any of you had problems accessing parishmouse yesterday and this morning I very sorry for the trouble but it was due to a general DNS failure on the server that fowards the domains over to the site here at Squarespace. It should all now be working again OK, but I’ll try and keep a good eye on things just in case.

All your old messages are still there and you will be able to log in using your old user names and passwords just as you all did before.

To access the boards either click the link in the menu or goto http://www.parishchatter.co.uk

I am sorry that it has taken a long time to sort it out but the only way in the end that I have managed to get them going again properly is by moving them to a special hosting company that specialises in hosting that type of board. No matter what I did on the old server it just wouldn’t play ball and kept throwing its toys out the pram.

Anyway, all should be back to how it was originally now, so I look forward to seeing you all there.

When we got back there were feathers all over the drive and I found Bertha dead in the field and Daisy dead in her nestbox and the rest of the girls badly traumatised. To add to all this the dogs were going bonkers and the cats had taken refuge in various parts of the house to get out of the way of the dogs. All in all, bedlam!

So, the next step is to test it out using all you loyal mousers out there (I knew you would all come in handy one day :-) ). For the moment I have redirected you all to this site but if things work out as I hope then this site will replace the original site and the address parishmouse.com will be altered to permanently point to this site (if I can work out how to do it!) and that way everyone will be able to access the site from either the address parishmouse.com or parishmouse.squarespace.com. Please let me know what you all think either by leaving a comment below or in the Guestbook.

There are more changes and rebuilds going on behind the scenes but I’ll save that bit of news until later … don’t you just hate it when that happens :-)
