Ness-Cliff Shropshire Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales Circa 1870

Ness-Cliff, a township in Great Ness parish, Salop; on the Potteries, Shrewsbury, and North Wales railway, 11 ¼ miles WNW of Shrewsbury. It has a station on the railway. A rocky cliff is here, and gives name to the township. There was formerly a chapel of ease, on a site now occupied by a parochial school.
