Knighton is a market-town in South Wales, 155 miles from London. It is a fair well-built town, much frequented, and pleasantly situated on an elevation rising from a small river, which divides this part of Wales from Shropshire. It carries on a considerable trade; and its weekly markets, which is pretty well supplied with provisions, is kept on Thursday. It has one annual fair likewise, which is held on the 6th of May.
