Fowey The England and Wales Delineated Thomas Dugdale 1835

Fowey (The), rises in a high tract of downs between Bodmin and Launceston. It traverses some of the pleasantness parts of the country, forming a sweet valley above Lostwithiel, in which the beautiful remains of Restormel abbey finely surrounded with wood, grace a gentleman’s grounds which are tastefully laid out.
