Thomas Barnes of Cutsden is probably Cutsdean

I agree, I would have thought it would have been Cutsdean. The annotation however, appears in the original transcription made by Phillimore ... did he know something we don't? Anyway I transcribed the entry as it appears in the original transcription so everyone can draw their own conclusions.
