Bushley Worcestershire Delineated C. and J. Greenwood 1822

Bushley – parish in the hundred of Pershore, lower division, 2 miles N.N.W. from Tewkesbury, and 105 from London, on the borders of Gloucestershire; containing 62 inhabited houses. The parish is about five miles in circumference, and in an excellent state of cultivation. In the church is an elegant epitaph, from the pen of the celebrated Burke, in memory of his friend William Dowdeswell, Esq. who was returned member for this county in several parliaments, and whose virtues, both in public and private life, will long be remembered. The living is a perpetual curacy; Rev. William Prosser, incumbent; instituted 1818; patron, T. Dowdeswell, Esq. Population, 1801, 282 – 1811, 323 – 1821, 366.
