Hugh Graham (19), Henry Coates (18) and William Russell (19), drummers in the Worcestershire Regiment stationed at Norton Barracks, were fined £1 at the City Police Court for causing annoyance by disorderly conduct in Bath Road. They persisted in using bad language despite being cautioned by two police officers. The court was told there have been frequent complaints about soldiers’ bad behaviour in Bath Road at weekends.
