This morning at 3 o’clock, a person coming with a team of horses from Malvern to this City was stopped on the road by a single footpad who demanded his money, but meeting with a stout resistance, the fellow ran off without effecting his purpose. Several circumstances of a similar nature have, alas, happened lately in different parts of this area to public alarm.
